Kayotics Looking for Skim Instructor in Victoria

5 June 2009 3 Comments

Kayotics Skimboards is looking for a local high-level skimboarder to teach the Kayotics Skim Camp in Victoria, BC. If you’re available July 6-10, 20-24, Aug 3-7 and 17-21 from 10am to 1pm please comment to this article below and the team at SkimBC.com will get back to you right away. The instructor must be able to find their own way to the beach and be a competant skimboarder. If you are interested but unsure of some riding techniques please let us know when we contact you and I (B-Dub) will get out for a session for a quick run-through of all the basic tricks and techniques.

I Live in Victoria, I’m a girl and I’ve been skimming since I was 8, I’m now 18 years old. Im a competent skimmer, I can do a handstand while riding and a 360 pop shuv (not stuck perfectly every time though) I’ve competed in switch tide slide competitions for the last two years (2nd place both times) and I taught my younger cousins how to ride and do shuv-its.
    Thanks for the consideration,
    Anna Penn

    Hey B-Dub.

Contact me, I live in Comox. I know nothing about skimming, but manage a guest lodge and would like to know more about the sport to help promote it. Also, anybody in the Comox area that is skimming, come and visit us in Kye Bay.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
