5th Annual Sub Zero Skim Jam presented by SkimBC.com

March 26th and 27th
Big Fish Lodge

Skimboarders to meet at NOON on Saturday at the Big Fish Lodge to decide where the best skimboarding spot will be!

Skimboarding event begins at noon on Saturday while the Mindil Beach Market and Brett Wildeman/Half Broke Horse concert begins at 8pm.

$40 to join in on the event, which includes accommodation at the Big Fish Lodge on the evening of March 26th and admission to the concert happening the same night! An additional $15 paid directly to the Big Fish Lodge on Sunday morning will give you access to the big brunch that they will have prepared! Why leave the lodge when you’re feeling like crap the next morning?

Come out and support wave skimboarders from all over British Columbia compete in the frigid waters of Port Renfrew!

Prizes provided by the event sponsors will be tossed out for a variety of challenges during the concert on the evening of the 26th! Last year’s event included a dance-off, a freestyle rap battle, limbo, and many other mini competitions!

Don’t miss out on this year’s event, the 5th edition of the Sub Zero Skim Jam promises to be a doozey!

    Hey Brandon, I am very sorry that I can’t make the jam this year. Serious family issues to deal with. Just think of me charging at only the big ones. I just read your “Skimboarding makes me Happy” article. Well written. I do have a different opinion though: Skimboarding which started in the what, 30′s? in Cali and has taken me to so many epic beaches (Divorce, Solmar, Makena, Dreamland, Mystic, PR, etc…) is and always will be a quieter sport than the other board sports. And that is ok. We are the fringe of cool and fun. Just a board with some wind sprints. I like it low key. It reminds me of my first year snowboarding at Whistler (88-89 season, the first year for boards) when you were lucky to see another rider. It makes it peaceful and a great escape with your buddies. Have a great time, I can’t wait for next year.
